Confidential 'drop-in' for pupils

Our trained nurses hold weekly drop-in sessions for young people about anything that may be worrying them. Young people, parents and teachers can refer to this service.

The issues discussed are confidential unless a child's safety, or that of others, is at risk. This is governed by the Fraser Guidelines1985 and the Children's Act 1989 relating to confidentiality and young people. The school nurse will always encourage young people to discuss issues with their parents or guardians.

"I was nervous the first time, but the nurse is lovely - it's good to have someone to talk to."
