Life after stroke workshops

March 2014. CSH Surrey's specialist neuro-rehabilitation service has set up a series of monthly group meetings for people registered with a mid Surrey GP to learn more about stroke and what they can do to keep as healthy as possible. The meetings are held once a month on a Wednesday morning from 10am to 12.30pm at the New Epsom and Ewell Community Hospital (NEECH), which is opposite The Poplars.

The meetings cover:

  • The causes of strokes
  • Diet and a healthy lifestyle
  • Dealing with fatigue and resuming daily activities
  • Exercise and its benefits
  • Further support in the community

The meetings are led by CSH Surrey's Neurological Rehabilitation Team at The Poplars, who include our Stroke Specialist Nurse, Dietitian, Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist. Attendees are welcome to bring a friend, carer  or relative. Refreshments will be provided.
