CSH Surrey is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Smerdon as interim chief executive. Tom will commence the role from the beginning of June 2025. Tom joins the organisation from Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he most recently held the role of director of strategy and sustainability.
He brings a strong track record of leadership across both acute and community healthcare services, with particular expertise in strategic development and system-wide collaboration.
Tom will serve in the interim role for a six-month period while CSH Surrey undertakes a national recruitment process to appoint a permanent chief executive. His appointment ensures continuity and strategic focus as we continue to deliver outstanding, person-centred care to the communities we serve.
