Mass Vaccination Programme - Training Requirements
As a returning member of staff, you must ensure your training is completely up to date as per the requirements below by 31 July 2022.
If your annual basic life support certificate expires during the months of September, October, November and December 2022, please bring your training forward so that you do not need to do it during these months

Theory and Assessment including coverage of PGDs (Updated 31st December 2020) - please note that only the theory needs to be completed - no need to carry out the assessment - Infection Prevention and Control Policy
- Safe Use and Disposal of Sharps Policy
We do not need to receive a self declaration for this required reading. By working on the mass vaccination programme you are declaring that you have read and understand this information.

- Safeguarding Children - Level 1 - every three years

Certificate required:
- Face-to-face basic life support with anaphylaxis - please make sure that your BLS certificate is up to date and if it is due to expire in the months of September - December please book your training for July or August.

Vaccinators will be invited to undergo a shadow shift to ensure intramuscular technique is signed off having not vaccinated for a period of time.
